Last Tuesday, more than 60 hotel workers and community supporters engaged in a lively picket line outside the boycotted Hotel Frank.
The hotel has been sold to AEW Capital, but Provenance Hotels is still managing the property and problems for the workers persist. Provenance still has not agreed to a contract providing for continued health care and retirement benefits, and has increased workload for workers throughout the hotel. The hotel has even fired two long-time workers. As a result of Provenance’s behavior, the National Labor Relations Board is prosecuting the company for multiple violations of federal labor law.
